These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Robertson Home Renovations website at robertsonhomerenovations.com and any estimate or project relationship that originates from this site. By using this site or submitting a project inquiry, you agree to these terms.

Estimates Are Non-Binding

Any estimate provided by Robertson Home Renovations, whether submitted through this site, communicated by phone, or delivered in writing, is a preliminary assessment only. An estimate does not constitute a contract, a commitment to perform work, or a guaranteed price.

A binding agreement to perform work requires a written proposal signed by both parties, along with any agreed-upon deposit.

Project Scope and Agreement

Before any work begins, Robertson Home Renovations will provide a written scope of work outlining the project description, materials, timeline, and total cost. Work does not commence until both parties have agreed to this scope in writing.

Changes to the scope of work requested after the agreement is signed may result in additional costs and timeline adjustments. Any changes will be communicated in writing before implementation.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are established in the written project agreement. Standard terms include a deposit due at project start, with remaining balance due upon completion. Robertson Home Renovations reserves the right to pause or stop work if agreed payment milestones are not met.

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars. Material costs are subject to change based on market conditions; any material cost increase above the quoted amount will be communicated before proceeding.

Contractor Relationship

Robertson Home Renovations is a licensed Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor (License #160723). Sean Robertson operates as an independent contractor. Nothing in these terms or any project agreement creates an employer-employee relationship.

Robertson Home Renovations carries appropriate insurance for the work performed. Proof of insurance is available upon request.

Customer Responsibilities

To allow work to proceed efficiently, you agree to:

• Provide reasonable access to the property during agreed working hours
• Disclose any known site conditions that could affect the project (underground utilities, structural issues, permit requirements)
• Obtain any required permits where the customer is responsible for doing so, unless the written agreement specifies that Robertson Home Renovations will obtain permits

Limitation of Liability

Robertson Home Renovations' liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid for those services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use of property.

This limitation does not apply to damages caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it in good faith through direct communication. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and resolved in the appropriate courts of Allegheny County, PA.
